I have a good network in the hemp industry, both medical and recreational, and am actively involved in the development of innovative applications of cannabinoids, scientific work and the destigmatisation of hemp in society. Despite my training as an aeronautical engineer, I have always been fascinated by biology and medicine. After my community service in a drug counselling centre, I studied medical engineering with a focus on cell and tissue engineering<\/u><\/a>. There I gained my first experience with tissue engineering by working on the development of bioreactors for the cultivation of cartilage tissue. When I had to learn about the relevance of this area for my own body due to a meniscus injury, I looked into the physiological processes and came across the endocannabinoid system. Out of curiosity, I tried to treat my injuries with hemp extracts and was fascinated by the physiological relevance of the characteristic ingredients - the cannabinoids. After completing several internships at IMP Vienna<\/u><\/a> and shifting my focus to brain research, I really realised the role of the endocannabinoid system.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2014, together with my friends and long-term business partners, I founded a start-up company that produces and distributes hemp extracts throughout Europe. At the same time, I completed a master's degree in neuroscience with a focus on cannabinoids. At the Centre for Brain Research Vienna<\/u><\/a>, I investigated the effect of phytocannabinoids on GABAA receptors in the laboratory, while on the business side I worked on the production of hemp extracts.<\/p>

As a pioneer in Austria, our company cannhelp<\/u><\/a> was the first to successfully produce CO2 extracts and establish itself as one of the pioneers in the industry. To date, I have co-developed more than 50 products in the areas of nutritional supplements, flavouring products, medical devices and cosmetics and am active in our group of companies SBR Development Holdin<\/u>g<\/a> as Managing Director and CEO and Medical Device Consultant at cannmedic<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On an international level, I was involved in the planning of a research facility for medical cannabis in Thailand. I am a quality representative for ISO 9001 and have a qualification as a business manager for the development and commercialisation of medical devices.
